Using Stencils ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Using Stencils. I decided to make a double stenciled background. First, colored the card stock yellow by applying the ink pad directly to the paper (dtp) and heat set. Then inked blue Distress ink onto the card stock through a stencil with a jumbo dauber and heat set.

Next, used another stencil and dabbed on a purple Distress ink with the jumbo dauber and heat set.

Finished by stamping a butterfly image with black Distress Ink, heat set, then added 3 small red rhinestones.

 

Comfort Quilts

Found some patterns for using up fabric scraps to make quilts: 

Colors ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Colors. I pressed orange and pink Distress Inks onto a mat and used the card stock to pick up the colors and heat set. Then added on the yellow Distress ink. Stamped a dragonfly image and the text with black Distress Ink and heat set.

Colored the dragonfly with Twinkling H2Os.

Used glitter pens to add some dots and add sparkle to the small butterfly. Layered ATC onto purple card stock.

 

Comfort Quilts

 Recent quilts I have made for Comfort Quilters:

House ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is House. I painted watercolor paper with acrylic paints and let dry, cut into a house shape. Stamped swirls onto the roof. Used black ink to color the edges. Added fabric ribbon to the roof line. Painted corrugated paper and cut to for a door and punched a small heart out of purple inked card stock. Added white butterfly die cut. Stamped stars onto previously make purple paper and cut to make a chimney.

 

Numbers ATC

Theme for 9ATC Group is Numbers.
Stamped a clock image with white dye ink on graph like paper. Stamped words with black StazOn ink. Added a black decorative strip and inked the edges of the atc with black distress ink.

Life ATC

 The theme for 9ATC Group is "Life".
Made blue backgrounds by pressing 3 distress inks on to a craft sheet, misting with water, dipping in paper and heat set. Repeat until I was happy with the backgrounds.







Sprayed blue Fireworks spray over the backgrounds.

 Stamped a floral image with green Distress ink and heat set. outlined the flowers with a silver metallic Gelly Roll pen.











Added a dragonfly image out of paste paper I had previously made. Used a purple metallic Gelly Roll pen to the center of the flowers and added a sheer ribbon to the side of the ATC.
