New Year ATC

I took some previously made ATC backgrounds to make New Year Greeting ATCs to send to some friends. These included: alcohol inks-spray-perfect pearls, waterstamping, versamark resist,  wrinkle free distress , salt resist, water resist, and two pearlized gesso.

On all but the first, I stamped a floral image on the top and left side and brushed on gold perfect pearls. Colored the edges of the ATCs with a gold metal leafing pen.

Then printed out a vintage image to add each one along with the phrase Wishing you the happiest New Year ever" and added to the ATCs.

Danger/Dangerous ATC

 For the 9ATC Group, the theme this month is Danger/Dangerous.
I stamped a crackle image over a textured black card stock with gold Encore! ink.
 Painted gold Perfect Pearls over black paper, cut out circles, and stamped with a moon image.
Tore page out of a book to add to the left side of the ATC. Colored the edge of the paper and the ATC with black chalk ink. Added the moon and a vintage image on top.

Snowflake Wreath Christmas Card

Made this card with 3 different snowflakes punched out of light blue card stock and used a pearl pen for the centers of the snowflakes. Stamped "be merry" with black StazOn ink.

Ten Altered Playing Card


  We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for December it is the Number Ten.
First, coated the playing card with Gesso and let it dry. Sponged white acrylic paint over the surface and let dry. Sponged on Metallic Silver Lumiere paint and let dry. Then, rubbed some black chalk lightly over the surface.













Stamped a clock image onto printed tissue paper and stamped another clock face image on top. Cut out and adhered to the APC. Added some metal hands with a brad. Cut out 10 tear shaped black glitter card stock and added to the APC along with the phrase "Grief makes one hour ten" and the word "ten".

Halloween ATC

 The theme is "Halloween" on 9ATC Group. I started by wet brushing a sheet of black paper, then brushing gold Perfect Pearls over the wet paper and letting it dry. Then stamped a flourish image and stars on top with dark blue StazOn ink. Used this ink to color the edges of the card.
 Found a vintage image and darkened the colors on the computer After printing out the image, cut it out and colored the "dress" with an orange Distress Marker. Wrote Trick or Treat? on the image with a white Gelly Roll pen.
Used a gold Gelly Roll pen to add gold to the dress. Colored some metal stars with orange alcohol ink and added to the ATC.

Comfort Quilts

Made some quilts for Comfort Quilts.
This one used left over fabrics from when I cut fabric wrong for a project and had to buy more fabric.
Made from donated 5" squares, cut the bright fabric squares in 1/2:
 The white and beige squares are from donated 5" squares, made the sashing from left over red bindings and other red fabric scraps. Had enough fabric to make two of these.

Scavenger Hunt Card

For Stamp Club, this month's challenge is a "Scavenger Hunt".   We were to use any four of the following to make a card:  stamp of choice, chipboard accent, word stamp in a foreign language, word/s from books, magazines, or hand-written, postage stamp, lace, ribbon, brad, charm, eyelet, etc…..
For my 4, I choose, a stamp of my choice, word stamp in a foreign language (par avian), words from newspaper and ribbon.  I stamped my stamp of choice and a foreign word stamp on to a paper doily. This was layered over a black & white dotted ribbon, words on newspaper, white paper all over black card stock. Black button was added.

Nine Altered Playing Card

 We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for November it is the Number Nine.

First, coated the playing card with Gesso and let it dry. Then covered the surface with a mixture of brown and Nickel Yellow Azo acrylic paint and let dry.












Covered the APC with Metallic Rust Lumiere paint and while the paint was still wet, used a lettered stamp to remove some of the paint. Then used a damp paper towel to wipe off some of the Lumiere paint and let the paint dry.


Covered the exposed area with a mixture of mintage photo and antique brass Distress Stains and let dry.










Stamped the same image with Sepia Archival ink over the right side of the APC,


Added some vintage bottle images and stamped various symbols on the bottles with Sepia Archival Ink. Also added the number 9 and the phrase "Love Potion #9".


Thanksgiving Card

For stamp club, we were to make a "special occasion" card. I choose Thanksgiving. Stamped fall flourish inchie stamps onto fall color paper and then stamped in the words "hope",  "love" and "life", these were layered onto dark brown card stock. Used a dark brown card stock and layered on a large leaf paper that I stamped "Give Thanks" on. Then added a textured gold metallic paper and the layered inchies.

Eight Altered Playing Card

We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for October it is the Number Eight.

First, coated the playing card with Gesso and let it dry. Then covered the surface with Vintage Photo Distress Stain and let dry.
Placed a heart shape piece of paper over the APC and stamped a musical score image over the APC with black India Ink.



 Placed a heart shape mask over the APC and sponged Old Brass Lumiere Paint into the heart shape opening.
















While the paint was wet, pressed in a flourish stamp and removed some of the paint. Let it dry.
Punched out 8 black musical notes and added over the heart shape. Added the phrase "My heart beats in eight counts" and the word eight.

Glitter/Shimmer Card

This month for stamp club, we were to make a card (or other project) with the theme of Glitter/Glamour-Shine/Shimmer. I used shimmery card stocks for my card. Started with a red shimmery card base and layered on light pink shimmer card stock over plain black paper, then topped with a pink floral shimmer card stock (used black India ink to color the edges) and added shiny red rhinestones. Stamped sentiment with black India Ink.

Seven Altered Playing Card

 We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for September it is the Number Seven.
First, coated the playing card with Gesso and let it dry. Then covered the surface with a purple Distress Paint and let dry.
 Then, covered the surface with a purple Distress Stain.
 While the Distress Stain was still wet, added on Interference Violet Perfect Pearls and let it dry.
Stamped circle of "sevens" and 7 with black India Ink, then stamped a map portion with a purple dye ink and cut out. Wrote "Wonders of the world" on card stock and cut out and added to the APC. Punched a decorative purple card stock with a heart shaped punch. Used a white Gel pen to add a white border to the hearts. Then wrote out each of the 7 Wonders out on the hearts and added to the APC.

Die Cut Card

For stamp club, we were to make a card using die cuts. I decided to make the die cut the main feature. Used a frame die to cut gold metallic paper and glued to a white card front. Then added 3 small white paper flowers with "gold" beads.

Six Altered Playing Card

We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for August the number is Six.
First, coated the playing card with white gesso and let it dry. Then covered with red Distress paint and let it dry.

Next, added a red Distress Stain over the Distress paint and let dry.

Then dabbled gold Distress Stickles over the APC, and let dry.


Used black India Ink to stamp the word "six" on card stock and glue onto two of the APC corners. Printed out a quote by Oscar Wilde to add on. Also printed out six vintage corset images to add.

 "Deep Six Corsets"
