Fun with Punches

It is my turn to lead the "demonstration" at stamp club.  I've seen some great use of little punches with a Less is More thread on the internet. So I've made a lot of samples to show at club and am having the members bring odds and ends of papers, small "pearls" and rhinestones and their small punches for a Play with Punches Day. Here are my quick samples:

ATCircles

The theme for stamp club is Artist Trading Circles. I cut paste paper I had previously made into circles that were just smaller than 2-1/2" (that was the size of the circle die I have). Stamped a French script stamp with black dye ink over the paste pater.  Inked the edges with black dye ink. Added some decorative paper ribbon and large bird cut outs. Added a tiny yellow rhinestone to the birds eyes.

Winter ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Winter.

I colored some gold colored metal snowflakes with pewter Distress Paint and let them dry.
Cut speckled dark gray card stock to atc size, and stamped a flourish design with Silver Encore ink.
Used an embossing folder to add these tree images and covered the raised surface with silver StazOn Metallic ink. Colored the outside edges with cracked pistachio Distress Oxide ink.

Added a punched gold snowflake with a green "jewel" brad to the painted metal snowflake to add to the atc. Also stamped the word "listen" onto gray plaid paper and added to the bottom of the atc.

Watercolor Card

The theme for this month's Stamp Club is Watercolors.
I brushed some watercolor paint over wet sketch paper, then lightly sprayed water over the top to make the colors run.

While the watercolor paints were still wet, dabbed a paper towel over the paints, soaking up the excess paint and blending the colors a bit.
When the paint had dried, stamped dragonflies over the paint with black StazOn ink. Also stamped a saying with black StazOn ink.

Layered onto black paper and cream colored card stock.

Sympathy Card

January's theme for Stamp Club was Sympathy Cards. I embossed light gray card stock and highlighted the raised birds and berries with glitter glue. Stamped a saying with purple dye ink. Layered onto a light purple card.
