Some quilts made for Comfort Quilters

 

Leaves ATC

 The theme for 9ATC Group is leaves. Found part of an old worksheet I'd used behind different projects and covered with an orange die ink, then punched out some leave shapes.

Found a large sheet of paper I had previously sprayed with a purplish maroon ink and cut into ATC sized pieces. Stamped a large flourish image with gold Stazon Metallic ink and let dry.

Trimmed the stamped paper and glued it onto gold card stock. Adhered three leaves on an 1/2" strip of gold metallic paper, and attached it to the ATC with two small green brads.

Using Stencils ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Using Stencils. I decided to make a double stenciled background. First, colored the card stock yellow by applying the ink pad directly to the paper (dtp) and heat set. Then inked blue Distress ink onto the card stock through a stencil with a jumbo dauber and heat set.

Next, used another stencil and dabbed on a purple Distress ink with the jumbo dauber and heat set.

Finished by stamping a butterfly image with black Distress Ink, heat set, then added 3 small red rhinestones.

Found some patterns for using up fabric scraps to make quilts: 

Colors ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Colors. I pressed orange and pink Distress Inks onto a mat and used the card stock to pick up the colors and heat set. Then added on the yellow Distress ink. Stamped a dragonfly image and the text with black Distress Ink and heat set.

Colored the dragonfly with Twinkling H2Os.

Used glitter pens to add some dots and add sparkle to the small butterfly. Layered ATC onto purple card stock.
