I decided to make a small travel journal out of the tyvek paper. I followed the same steps as seen here. I wanted this paper to appear torn and worn, so I deliberately made holes in it, then covered it with another layer of tissue paper and watered down pva glue and brown paint. After it dried, I cut the paper down to cover the journal and inked the raised wrinkles with the light Distress ink. For the insides of the covers I colored some maps with these 3 colors of Distress ink. (Not seen in this photo, I also stamped some flourishes on the tyvek paper.)
So the covers would feel thick and worn with age, I placed double-sided carpet tape on two sides of thin cardboard and adhered the cover papers over it. I used a dark Distress ink to the edges to give the journal a well worn appearance.
All stamped images were done with black Archival ink.

This looks GREAT Carol!!! I attempted the fabric paper using fabric, but it is in the garbage. I'm glad I tried before I signed up for the swap.
