The theme for the 9ATC Group is Circle/Swirl. I decided to use the Bokeh Technique for my background. Started by wiping 3 different shades of blue dye inks over the background (direct to paper) and let it dry.
Used a round sponge to add two shades of purple dye ink and dabbed with a damp paper towel to soften the color a bit and let it dry.
Then I used white pigment ink to sponge onto the background over a circle stencil and used the eraser on the end of the pencil to add smaller circles to the background and let it dry (this is the last step of the bake technique).
Used a violet Distress Oxide ink to stamp a circle and swirl flourish image over the background and heat set it.Used black StaZon Ink to stamp on a different circle swirl flourish and a dragonfly image. Used this ink to also ink the edges of the atc. Used a purple glitter metallic gel pen to add a dotted border around the edge. Adhered a purple "pearl" at the bottom of the flourish image.
