Orange ATC

The theme for the 9ATC Group is Orange. I stamped the background image with an orange Distress ink over a previous made orange paper. Punched out the star and some of the small circles from an orange and dark purple background papers made several years ago. Also punched some orangish colored small circles out of other previous made orange papers to add to the design. Used a dynomaker to create the letters for P L A Y with black dynotape and punched the letters with a small circle punch.

Using stuff from our art tables ATC

The theme for the 9ATC Group is to use staff (scraps and stuff) from our art tables. For the background, I took a large sheet that was used under my projects when I sprayed and rubbed ink over previous projects. I cut this paper into 2-1/2 x3-1/2", then stamped a French Script over it and inked the edges all with black StazOn ink. I used left over blue paste paper from the paper weaving project to punch out small floral shapes and thin strips (glued over silver paper) to make the center ribbon. The large flower was punched out of other left over sprayed paper. The middle flower was also from the original large sheet that made the background. Purple paste paper from the paper weaving project was used as the small center flower. Left over blue inked glossy paper was stamped with small black dots and punched out to create the flower center. Used a silver metallic gel pen to make the centers on the two small paste paper flowers.

Paper Weaving ATC

The theme for the 9ATC Group is Paper Weaving. I choose 2 papers I had previously made with paste paper and cut them into 1/4" strips to weave and layered the woven mat onto some background paper that was made by spraying gold metallic spray over black paper. I also cut out the same background paper in 1-1/4" circles and the paper weaving in 1" circles. These were layered onto the paper weaving mat along with some red fiber and added a dark red rhinestone.

Handwriting background ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Handwriting background. I made my handwriting background using a glitter blue gel pen and wrote a flower quote over and over starting at the bottom left corner until the card was full. Rubbed a blue Distress Ink pad over the surface and along the edges.

To complete the card, I used some premade Gelli plate pater and punched out a flower shape and a butterfly shape. On the flower, I stamped some flourishes with silver metallic ink and added a dark blue punched flower (painted paper towel) and two circles (one of the same Gelli print paper and one of silver painted paper towel). The butterfly was stamped with dark blue ink on a textured stamp. Green Distress Ink was used to stamp the stem.

Texture with Gesso ATC

The theme for the 9ATC Group is Texture through Gesso or Texture Paste. I used Gesso by sponging it on over a stencil covering card stock.

I allowed the Gesso to dry, this took a couple of hours.

I sprayed yellow and blue inks over the Gesso Texture and let it dry.

I added some embellishments. The blue strip was cut and the dragonflies were punched out of some paste paper I had previously made. The flower was chipboard, that I first inked thoroughly with black ink and after the ink dried, used reddish metallic rub-on over the surface and then ran through a swirl patterned embossing folder. Also added a "pearl" to the center of the flower.

Background made with natural ingredients ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Backgrounds made with natural ingredients. I used blackberries and smooshed them over card stock, let them dry and then brushed off any berry parts that were left on.
Used a blue Distress Paint to stamp on butterfly images over the backgrounds and let them dry.
Trimmed the ATCs, stamped flourishes onto the background with black StazOn ink, colored spots on the butterflies with a pink metallic gel pen, used a thin black Sharpie to outline the butterflies and their spot, added the word "dance" from a dictionary page, and layered onto black card stock.
