Halloween ATC

The theme is "Halloween" on 9ATC Group. I started by wet brushing a sheet of black paper, then brushing gold Perfect Pearls over the wet paper and letting it dry. Then stamped a flourish image and stars on top with dark blue StazOn ink. Used this ink to color the edges of the card.
Found a vintage image and darkened the colors on the computer After printing out the image, cut it out and colored the "dress" with an orange Distress Marker. Wrote Trick or Treat? on the image with a white Gelly Roll pen.
Used a gold Gelly Roll pen to add gold to the dress. Colored some metal stars with orange alcohol ink and added to the ATC.

Comfort Quilts

I was given some large quilt blocks by another quilter. I found this pattern to use them in two different quilts along with some fabric I had in my stash:

Comfort Quilts

Made some quilts for Comfort Quilts.
This one used left over fabrics from when I cut fabric wrong for a project and had to buy more fabric.
Made from donated 5" squares, cut the bright fabric squares in 1/2:
The white and beige squares are from donated 5" squares, made the sashing from left over red bindings and other red fabric scraps. Had enough fabric to make two of these.

Scavenger Hunt Card

For Stamp Club, this month's challenge is a "Scavenger Hunt".   We were to use any four of the following to make a card:  stamp of choice, chipboard accent, word stamp in a foreign language, word/s from books, magazines, or hand-written, postage stamp, lace, ribbon, brad, charm, eyelet, etc…..
For my 4, I choose, a stamp of my choice, word stamp in a foreign language (par avian), words from newspaper and ribbon.  I stamped my stamp of choice and a foreign word stamp on to a paper doily. This was layered over a black & white dotted ribbon, words on newspaper, white paper all over black card stock. Black button was added.

Nine Altered Playing Card

We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for November it is the Number Nine.

First, coated the playing card with Gesso and let it dry. Then covered the surface with a mixture of brown and Nickel Yellow Azo acrylic paint and let dry.

Covered the APC with Metallic Rust Lumiere paint and while the paint was still wet, used a lettered stamp to remove some of the paint. Then used a damp paper towel to wipe off some of the Lumiere paint and let the paint dry.

Covered the exposed area with a mixture of mintage photo and antique brass Distress Stains and let dry.

Stamped the same image with Sepia Archival ink over the right side of the APC,

Added some vintage bottle images and stamped various symbols on the bottles with Sepia Archival Ink. Also added the number 9 and the phrase "Love Potion #9".

Thanksgiving Card

For stamp club, we were to make a "special occasion" card. I choose Thanksgiving. Stamped fall flourish inchie stamps onto fall color paper and then stamped in the words "hope",  "love" and "life", these were layered onto dark brown card stock. Used a dark brown card stock and layered on a large leaf paper that I stamped "Give Thanks" on. Then added a textured gold metallic paper and the layered inchies.
