Another Christmas Card

Used faded photo Distress ink on one side of an embossing folder, place white card stock inside and ran through a Cuttlebug. Layered it on red card. Stamped candle image on white card stock with black India Ink. Colored with Distress Markers and metallic Gelly roll pens.
Another easy card that will mail flat.

More Christmas Cards

Need more Christmas cards. Decided to use some of the backgrounds I have on hand that are cut to ATC size to use on the cards. I think my arty friends will appreciate these.
Choose a vintage image, printed it out in reverse on TAP paper and ironed onto some of the backgrounds. This image appears better on the lighter backgrounds.
Used some old Caroling Song book sheets for the background.  For most of them, I tore the right side edge. Ran the sheet through an embossing folder, after rubbing the inside of the folder with vintage photo Distress ink, and running through the Cuttlebug. Added a dimensional ornament sticker.
On some of the music sheets I colored the raised holly with green Distress ink.
I wasn't able to get the TAP transfer to work with the crackle paste background (upper left of the ones below) so I cut out a vintage image and adhered that instead. I had some Christmas themed ATCs left over from last year, that I decided looked better on the cards then on their own.

Comfort Quilt

I was able to finish another quilt for Comfort Quilters. Used the disappearing 9 Patch pattern with donated 5-1/2" squares.

Christmas Card

Time to make some Christmas cards. I recently received some of Tim Holtz's stencils and a friend wondered how these were to be used, she especially liked the ray one. I directed her to Tim's blog. Then decided it would be fun to use this stencil in my Christmas card. Card stock in red with tiny gold sparkles in them Layered the stencil over the card and sponged on gold Encore! ink.
 Love how this turned out!
Stamped a verse and a shepherd image with black India Ink. Used a gold Pearl Pen to add some dimension to the stamped star near the shepherds.
Layered the stenciled & stamped card over a gold paper layer, then onto a red card.
Hope you are all finding some time to be creative and be filled with joy during this Advent Season!

Mixed Media Using an Image Transfer ATC

This month in 9ATC group the theme is mixed media using an image transfer. I choose a piece of background paper I liked and transferred an angel image using TAP.
Next, stamped a butterfly image and letters with white acrylic paint.
When the paint dried, used a gold metallic Gelly pen to color in the letters and to outline the butterfly image.
To finish, cut gold paper with a lacy die cut and adhered to the right side.
