Purple ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is Purple. I adhered some purple translucent paper I made some time ago to dark purple yardstick.
I stamped a decorative image to the left side with dark purple StazOn ink, it left a very faint image.
Stamped a larger image with black StazOn ink to the bottom of the paper.
Used some previously inked papers to punch out dragonfly shapes.

Embellished the stamped image and the punched our dragonflies with purple metallic and glitter Gelli Roll pens. Added a purple rhinestone to the "A".

Comfort Quilts

Our group is making quilts for homeless veterans who are being given tiny homes through a local program. I made these scrappy quilts with lots of love:

Advent Calendar

I found an advent calendar kit from years ago and decided to decorate it for my granddaughter. I assembled all the pieces and painted them red. Painted the numbers gold. Added a decorative striped paper to the drawers before adhering on the numbers. Adhered a large scrapbook paper to the center and added some rub-ons.

I thought it would be fun to replace the drawers backwards into the calendar after each one has been opened, so I added 3D Christmas stickers to the back of each drawer.
Now to find something to place in each drawer before giving her the calendar.

Christmas Card

Stamped a poinsettia image with gold StazOn ink on heavy vellum paper, cut out and added red glitter Gelli pen dots. Stamped saying with black India ink onto gold paper, added a red ribbon and layered onto a white card. Attaced the cut out poinsettia.

Sihouette Card

The theme for stamp club is Silhouette. I stamped a silhouette fishing image with black Distress Ink onto blue textured paper that reminded me of water. Added two black strips of card stock and layered it onto a blue and green striped paper, stamped on sayings with black Distress ink.

Out to Impress Card

The theme for stamp club is "Out to Impress", interpretation up to us. I used a die to cut a bird shape out of blue fun foam. I softened the fun foam with heat from a heat gun and immediately pressed it into a flourish rubber stamp. Once the fun foam had cooled removed it from the rubber stamp and colored the surface with blue StazOn ink.

Added a small yellow rhinstone to the bird and adhered it to a flowery piece of background paper, then layered that onto yellow card stock and onto a light gray card. Stamped Warm Wishes onto the bottom of the card with the same blue StazOn ink.

Bee ATCs

The theme for 9ATC Group is Bees.
About 9 years ago, I had a fun class in Arizona learning how to make translucent papers out of tissue paper and wax paper. The artist didn't want us to share on social media the steps and now I don't remember how we did it (sigh). I still have some of the papers and decided to use it for this project.
Stmped an Irish Blessing on yellow card stock, then adhered the translucent paper on top. Stamped floral image 3 times on the translucent paper, stamping over the middle image a second time. Added copper Pearl Pen dots to the flower centers. Used a gold metallic pen to add some highlights. Added a bee sticker with glitter Stickles to the wing, and black washi tape to the bottom of the atc.

If you follow the colors of the butterflies (orange, yellow, blue) the highlighted words read:

Dream ATC

Theme for 9ATC Group is Dreams. I used a vintage photo and altered it by sponging on ink, and drawing over it with white and silver marking pens. Added a silver embellishment and yellow rhinestone, then layered onto silver card stock.

Kissing Stamp Technique

The theme for stamp club this month is to use the kissing stamp technique.
I inked both a bold font saying and a bold butterfly image with light blue dye ink. Then inked a crackled texture stamp with dark blue ink. Kissed (or pressed) the light blue inked bold stamps onto the dark blue ink textured stamp.

Then huffed (breathed) onto the doubled ink stamps and stamped onto white card stock.

Layered the stamped paper onto light blue textured card stock and then onto a white card.

Recycle/Reclaim Card

For last month's stamp club the theme was Recycle/Reclaim.
I have a collection of decorative paper bags from shopping over the years. I decided to cut them into 3/4" wide strips to make birthday cakes and to punch out candles. Used metallic gel pens to color the flames of the candles.

Quilts

My daughter-in-law sent me some of the onesies from when the twins were babies and asked me to make them quilts. I decided to cut out the designs from the onesies and use iron-on light interfacing as for a t-shirt quilt. The squares from these small onesies were pretty small, so I added lots of other fabrics to create these quilts. She is very happy with them. Whew!

Embossed ATC

The theme for 9ATC Group is embossing. I decided to use embossing folders. For the base, I adhered foil to carpet tape, then ran it through a small textured embossing folder in the Cuttlebug. Used black India Ink to color the top of the embossed foil.

Wrapped the embossed foil over a piece of 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" thin cardboard. Punched out a round piece of silver card stock and added it to the ATC.
Used a die cut to cut a bird image with wing our of blue paper foil. Then used a different embossing folder to emboss them. Sand paper took the blue color off of the raised areas.
Used a small metal brad for the birds eye. Added the embossed bird image to the ATC along with the word "soar".
