Book Study - Weathered Wood Grunge

On NGS group, we're doing a study of Tim Holtz's book "A Compendium of Curiosities". This week's study is the section Weathered Wood Grunge. Emboss a texture into grunge (I used grunge paper).
Paint the entire surface with acrylic paint, making sure to get into all the grooves. Let dry.
Sand the raised texture. Brush off the dust. (Tim says using the Sanding Grip with it's flat surface allows you to sand just the high points).
Ink over the entire surface with a brown Distress Ink using an ink blending tool.
Mist a cloth or paper towel with water and lightly swipe the damp cloth over the surface to remove the Distress Ink from the raised areas.Looks good!

You are doing a great job posting all of these projects from Tim Holtz' book. I really admire you for doing it. I do plan to delve into his book soon and you have provided excellent leadership.

This really does look like wood! Great job!
