Texture ATCs

I've signed up for a 6:5 ATC swap on ccswaps with the theme of Texture. I've been wanting to play some more with acrylic molding paste, so this was a great opportunity to use it. I spread the molding paste over a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of card stock.

While the molding paste was still wet, I stamped a large script background stamp into it. And then immediately washed my stamp with a soft toothbrush and water.

I wasn't trying to get the words to show, as much as adding texture to the background. I let this dry.

I painted the surface with black acrylic paint and let dry.

Then painted over that with Quinacridone Magenta acrylic paint and let it dry.

Ran a silver Brilliance ink pad along the edges of the card and over the top to show off the texture and let it dry.

I cut large hearts out of black paper and painted them with platinum Distress crackle paint and waited for it to dry. Then ran it through the xryon sticker maker to apply adhesive to the back. Next ran the heart through a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Colored the heart with a mixture of red and black alcohol ink using a felt applicator.

I colored silvery black keys with red alcohol ink. Glued the key to the ATC, ran red ribbon through the two ends of the key and attached them to the top of the heart.

Lots of lovely texture to enjoy in this ATC.
