Tattered Floral Challenge - Steampunkish

I'm participating in Tim Holtz's Tattered Floral Challenge. The only requirement is to use Tim's Tattered Floral die with any materials we choose, and submit a picture by March 22nd. I wanted to create some flowers for an upcoming page in a steampunk journal. I wanted the flowers to have elements of steampunk to them. For some of the layers I covered grunge paper with foil flashing tape and cut with the tattered floral die.
Used the industrial faux riveted metal look with these:
For more layers, used old denim jeans, one was colored with black acrylic paint.
Also cut out some background paper, ran it through an embossing folder and colored the raised areas with pumice stone Distress Ink.
Also cut out some light purple netting with the tattered floral die. Mixed up the layers, added brads and metal bits to the centers. These are my tattered florals with some steampunk elements.

  1. Not a huge fan of Steampunk, but I love your Steampunkish flowers. Great idea with the metal look flowers!
