Completed my pages for the Calendar Swap on Kindred Souls Art Group. My month was January, so I went with themes of snow and wind.
I used 6"x6" grunge board and punched holes along one side to attach ribbons (they remind me of the cold winter wind). Painted a light coat of white acrylic paint and sprayed over with Shimmering Mist color spray.
I did the same on the back, but used a heavier coating of the color spray. On the front, stamped a snowflake flourish with pearl white Lumiere paint and when that had dried, stamped the same image with azure StazOn ink.
On the back, used some packaging material and pearl white Lumiere paint to create roundish dots.
To finish the front, used an On-the-Edge Snowflake die to cut white glitter paper, also punched out a smaller snowflake from this same paper. Stamped a snowflake saying with azure StazOn ink over some paper that had been in the bottom of my spray box, when spraying the grunge board earlier. Colored the edges of the January page with azure StazOn ink. Cut out a vintage winter angel image and highlighted areas with Frosted Stickles glitter. Cut out the mini snowflake rosettes with some vintage colored paper. Added some rhinestones and metal bits.
On the back, cut out the same white glitter paper with an On-the-Edge Fence die. Added two red bird cut outs. Stamped Let it Snow in azure StazOn ink on elephant paper, deckle cut the edges and added a silver snowflake brad. Used a thin strip of the elephant paper on the bottom to add my info.
Finished the pages by adding ribbons through the punched holes on one side of the page. The other side of the page is fairly flat, so the participants can bind the pages together as desired. Looking forward to getting the complete year and seeing everyone's creations!
Your calendar pages are great! Thanks for the inspiration, Carol!
