Tim Holtz has come up with another fabulous tag full of creative techniques to inspire us. He has lots of scrumptious step by step photos on his blog.
Cut out a piece of tissue wrap a bit larger than your background card/tag. Apply adhesive to the card, place down the tissue wrap while wrinkling it up. Press down the tissue wrap and trim off the excess.
Apply paint dabber colors to the tissue wrap, one color at a time. Use a baby wipe to swipe and blend the paint. Add additional paint dabber colors and blend in with a baby wipe. I added a little copper for fun.I swiped espresso paint dabber to the edges. Used heat tool to dry the paint.
Use Distress Inks applying with a foam applicator over the paint.
I stamped flourishes over the background with black Archival ink and lightly sprayed bronze Perfect Pearls Mist, blot off extra mist with paper towel.
Tim shows how to make custom colors of rock candy distress stickles by mixing dry Distress Stickles Glitter with alcohol ink. I don't have the dry Distress Stickles Glitter. So I'm trying for a similar look by using one color of dabber paint on grungeboard branch and leaf and coating with a different shade of that color of Distress Stickles. I used lots of Distress Stickles. Now I have to wait for the Distress Stickles to dry......
I like how these look:
To finish the atc, I added chitchat stickers after inking with honey Distress Ink. Added fibers to a Muse token and attached with Diamond Glaze
VERY cool! I love the background and the sparkly branch!
