More Iridescent Gift Wrap Play

I thought I read that fantasy film/iridescent gift wrap could be heat set over embossed images. I now think they meant a stamped embossed image and not plain dry embossing, as my experiment didn't turn out as I expected. I was going to make ATC holder using coasters as covers. I ran the coasters through a Cuttlebug embossing folder and spread a very thin layer of gel medium over the surface and laid the iridescent gift wrap on top.
I place a craft sheet over the wrap and heated with a hot iron.
I love the color of the heated wrap, but it's hard to see the pattern and it definitely doesn't appear embossed.Time to do something different. I found it very easy to remove the top layer of paper from the coaster along with the iridescent gift wrap.
I ran this through the Cuttlebug embossing folder. With this thinner layer, the embossing shows really well.
I inked the surface with a Brilliance ink pad to add color.
Now to rethink my original design idea into something better.....
