Wrinkle Free Distressing: Following Directions

I wanted to try this technique while paying attention to the directions. I read what was said on the Ranger site and also remembered what Robin suggested on her blog to heat set between color layers to prevent muddying the colors. The first picture includes running a re-inker dropper across the craft sheet. The color of the re-inker seemed more intense than I expected. But I like it and have a plan for these tags:
Then I decided to try the technique without using the re-inker dropper, just running the Distress pads on the craft sheet and spraying with water. As you can see from the next three photos I had a lot of fun playing with this technique and trying different color combos (mostly monochromatic). Still debating on the next step for these tags:

I received a deco in the mail and decided to do this technique with a dark red, purple and blue. This water color paper really soaked up the color. I ran a blue china Distress pad over the surface and sprayed on water to spread the color over the entire page. Will continue this project tomorrow:

  1. Gorgeous, as usual. I haven't played with this technique yet, but I will now I've seen how lovely it can look!
