Hurrah for Decos!

I came home to find two decos waiting for me from the NGS group. I wanted to use more of the Lovely Layers papers I made in class last month for the first book. I cut out two pieces from one of the papers to fit the size of this deco. Decided I would play off the retro San Francisco look of these papers.
I edged the image with both a light and a dark Brilliance ink pad, and stamped the words with the darker ink. I also edged the pages with the darker ink, and use a Jumbo Dauber in the same ink to color this great ribbon that was already imprinted with the words (thanks Sweetpea for this fun ribbon) and to give an aged look to the map sticker. I punched out the slots in one corner to attach the image.
Then I added embellishments, did a little coloring and glued it all down. Had to add a large flower to go with the words to the song on the paper. Great fun to be creating again.

  2. Oh, you are just so good at these deco books. You are so gifted and make complicated pages look so simple!
