Tim Holtz's March Technique Challenge

I couldn't wait, I had to try out the technique Tim showed on his blog, this time using a tag, instead of the slide holder I did yesterday. I love this large heron stamp. I sponged on acrylic paint onto one part of the stamp, and stamped that image on the tag [remember to always wash acrylic paints off of your stamps immediately].

I created 3 different sprays: mulled lavender reinker with perfect violet perfect pearls, brushed coruroy reinker with kiwi perfect pearls, and washed denim reinker with turquoise perfect pearls.
I used lots of spray, and mixed them over the tag. The fluid was absorbed into the tag and didn't run much. (Perhaps my tag is more porous that the one Tim used?)

Using the same large stamp, I inked up a different portion with archival black ink and stamped the image onto the tag.

Here is a close up of the tag. It isn't as shiny as the one Tim did, maybe I'm not using as much perfect pearls powder? I like it all the same. To get a good look at the shimmer of this technique, click on the picture below to see it enlarged.
