F is for Fossil Stone

One of the fun things of being in the ABC of techniques ATC swap is I am learning new techniques!!! Autumn sent us a gorgeous ATC where she used the Fossil Stone background, along with the directions.
Open a clear sheet protector so it looks like a book. Direct to Paper (dtp) one color of dye ink to one side and a different color to the other side. As it is fall here, I decided to use two of the new Distress ink colors.
Close to the sheet protector so the two sides are together and let the inks meld. You can brayer, but Autumn says she walks her fingers over the surface, so I did the same.
Place two pieces of glossy white card stock back to back, and insert inside the inked sheet protector and walk your fingers over it.
Then remove: here are my results:
You can use other paper to pick up any left over ink on the sheet protector. Also cleans up easily with water or a baby wipe.
These were done using broken china and seedless preserves Distress ink. My broken china ink pad wasn't as juicy (I need to add some re-inker to it).
These were done using wild honey and bard door Distress inks.
Not sure what I'll do with these, but I love having backgrounds ready.
These will turn out differently every time you do this, fun!
