This week in our study of Julia Andrus' book "Paper Transformed" on NGS group. we're looking at the section Resist on Glossy Paper. This is one of my favorites. First stamp an image on glossy paper with VersaMark or Resist ink and let dry or dry with heat tool.
Brayer on dye ink. Sometimes I like using Distress inks for the longer drying time and blending colors.
This looks like a really cool technique, and easy to do. Thanks for showing it :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the colors of the butterfly, and it actually looks pretty simple to do. Maybe I'll go ahead and give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a favourite technique of mine for a long time. Simple and effective. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteLove the butterfly - the images pops beautifully and the colours are lovely
I love these! I especially love the doorway stamp and the arches stamp. do you remember where you got these and/or what brand they are?
ReplyDeleteI bought those stamps at vendor's night at Art & Soul retreat. I think they are either from Lost Coast or Invoke Arts.
