Radiant Batik Technique

On Art-Venturer's we are going to work through a wide assortment of stamping/mixed media related techniques, for connivance they've been assorted alphabetically. I want to try as many as possible (focusing on creating backgrounds) and then bind them to create a handy reference booklet for myself. We are starting with the letter "R".
I've started with the Radiant Batik technique from Julia Andrus' marvelous book "Paper Transformed". I highly recommend this book. Fabulous instructions and professional color photography.

Started with white card stock. Stamped over the paper with watermark ink, covered with clear embossing powder and heat set on both papers. On the left, I colored the whole sheet with water color paints. On the right, first misted the paper with water, then colored the whole sheet with water-based dye ink markers. (note: dye inks could also be used).
Next, created a creamy paste with gold Perfect Pearls and water and painted over the entire papers. (note: since the initial coloring is done with water based paint/inks, the colors will be blended together during the application of the watered perfect pearls)
Next place lightweight paper or newsprint over the paper and iron (on medium setting) this will absorb the embossing powder as it melts and set the paints as they are heated. I'm not sure I melted off all the embossing powder, but like how they turned out.
