Carved Stamp as Focus ATC
This month on 9ATC group we are to use a hand carved stamp or found object stamp as the main focus of our ATC, and not use commercial stamps.
I made my stamp by using a die to cut out a bird image from fun foam, then used a ball point pen to "carve" a design into the bird image. Cut another bird image out of the fun foam and attached them together for double thickness. Attached this to thin plastic as a base.
Stamped image from the "hand carved" stamp:Choose a piece of shinning stone background for my ATC base. Placed a butterfly music washi tape along the bottom.
Stamped the bird image with tarnished pewter Distress paint. Outlined the image with a silver Gelly Roll pen.
Cut out letters from a music sheet and colored with Twinkling H2Os and added a green rhinestone for an eye.

Gift boxes/bags
For my stamp club we are to make gift bags or gift boxes. I decided to make a tube box that I could fill with Hugs & Kisses. Cut decorative paper to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" then stamped some word stamps with red Archival ink.
Fill with candy or other gift, then close the top at a perpendicular angle, to create the fun tube shape.
I crimped the top and bottom. Punched a hole in the top and closed with ribbon.
On the back side, place tape on one side and the bottom.
Have the raw edges in the back slightly off from the center.

Vermilion Color Perceptions ATC
The color is Vermilion (Orange Red or Red Orange) in February for the Color Perceptions ATC Swap on the ArtVentures Group. The ATC is to be predominately vermilion and be how the color vermilionmakes us feel. I love the warmth of vermilion. More than intense red, vermilion makes me think of Romantic Love.
Brayered a red orange acrylic paint over card stock and let dry.
Stamped a flourish image with Rocket Red Gold Brilliance Ink and used this ink to color the edges of the ATC.
Added a glitter flourish decorative ribbon to the top and bottom of the ATC. Also layered a copper gossamer ribbon with a thin orange red ribbon.
Cut some pre embossed paper in a heart shape and painted with two shades of Twinkling H2Os.
Painted th edges of the heart with tarnished brass Distress Stain and added a colored rhinestone to the center.
