ONE Altered Playing Card (APC)

We are doing an Altered Playing Card (APC) Swap on ArtVentures Group. The theme is Numbers, for March it is Number One.
I applied 3 layers of gesso on the playing cards. After drying, added a layer of wild honey Distress Paint and let dry.

Used a stencil to add an orange Distress Ink over a stencil (this color later faded into the paint background). Stamped "one" and dots on the APC with black India Ink.

Sponged gold Encore! Ink over a stencil to add a pattern to the background.

Added a vintage image of a woman riding an ostrich. Wrote "you have to be ODD to be #1" in black ink.

Girly ATC

Girly is the theme for the 9ATC Group. I cut a pink striped paper for the background. Stamped a floral flourish and the word Beauty with a dark pink ink, that I also used to color the edges of the paper.

Used the same pink ink to stamp a dress image on decorative white paper.
Added white paper lace toward the bottom of the ATC. Adhered the dress along with white paper flowers along with some pink beads.

Quilts

Made two quilts using lots of left over pink & other fabrics

Used a disappearing 16 patch technique to make this quilt.

Pretty Papers Card

For stamp club, we are to make cards using our favorite background or technique. Lately, I have enjoyed using up some of my large supply of purchased background/decorative papers. I call these cards Pretty Papers.
Cut 4 different coordinating papers in various sizes and layered them on kraft card stock. Stamped a saying on the lower left block with dark brown ink. Added two coordinating colors of paper flowers where the papers meet.

"Beige" Color Perceptions ATC

The color is Beige in March for the Color Perceptions ATC Swap on the ArtVentures Group. The ATC is to be predominately beige and be how the color  beige makes us feel. Beige is a pale version of brown. A neutral color with a hint of warmth and a sense of calm. I find beige to be "calming".
I colored the edges of some beige card stock with Brilliance Pearl Beige ink. And used this same ink to lightly stamp a butterfly & floral image over some leaf print beige paper.

Next, I cut a butterfly shape out of beige colored vellum, embossed butterfly design with a matching embossing folder and colored with the Brilliance Pearl Beige ink.

Found some pebbly metallic beige textured paper, cut it in a strip to layer near the bottom of the ATC and added 3 small squares of the same paper in the upper right corner.

To be out in nature is calming to me as well.
