Metallic ATC

I'm hosting a Metallic ATC swap on the DCI group. A large portion of the ATC is to be metal or faux metal, not just a metal embellishment. I used the the Painted Tin technique (out of paper) to make my backgrounds. I trimmed them down to ATC size, then got cold feet wondering if they looked "metal" enough. I asked my friend Rena (who is also in this swap) if she thought they looked like metal. She said if I was concerned, I could do the same technique with metallic card stock or use metal colored paint. I originally pooh poohed the idea, because I wanted "green" backgrounds. After sleeping on her suggestion, I decided to rub q. nickel azo gold acrylic paint over the backgrounds to give them a "rusted metal" appearance. So a big THANKS to Rena for giving me ideas!
I also painted the edges of the Extra Thick Embossing embellishments I made with the same acrylic paint and rubbed a little here and there to the surface.

Need a lunar moth for an added embellishment. Inked a moth stamp with Olive Green StazOn ink, layered on two sheets of Blue Nile Fantasy Film, covered with parchment paper and heated with a hot iron.

Layered my embellishments to the Painted Tin background, added a metal star and backed with black card stock.

So much fun, what can be done with paper!!!!
